About Us
How It All Began
At MJKampy, we are a family run business that is passionate about the outdoors and we want to share our love of camping and hiking with others. Our journey began while on a camping trip to our favorite weekend getaway, Prophetstown State Park, the temperatures dropped and the wind picked up. Our kids got cold and went in the RV. We stayed out by the fire and brought out our cheap outdoor blankets to keep us warm. We still froze. The wind kept whipping around our legs and through the sides of our chairs. To make matters worse, each time we got up from our chair, our blankets blew off and towards the fire! We knew there had to be a way to fix this. We started brainstorming, and the MJKampy chair cover was born! Fast forward to our next trip, with 2 prototypes in hand. The "feels like" temperature that day was -4 and we were able to comfortably sit by the fire all afternoon! We couldn't believe it! We decided then and there that this was something of value that our fellow campers and outdoor lovers would want as well! It has become one of our must have camping accessories! Quality Made
MJKampy chair covers are made at a small batch sewing facility in Indiana. Each one is cut and sewn by hand to exact specifications and quality checked for perfection. You will know you are getting the MJKampy quality by the leather logo tag on the back.
They can be machine washed in cold water and tumble dried on low. We love good camping products that can be easily washed!
